Uffington Court was in service from 1929 until 1967 so had a long working life of 38 years. During this period she served on a large number of WW2 convoys and changed owners and name on several occasions.

Service Pre WW2

I have found no information about the service history of Uffington Court before the war but according to Middlemiss - External Reference #4, she was not laid up during the depression of the 1930s like many of the other Court Line ships.
