Geoff Topp's Postcards
Geoff was a pilot on the River Mersey who collected postcards from his local area over many years. The collection is mainly based on the Mersey, its docks and the ships that sailed from them, but also includes lifeboats, lighthouses and ports in Wales.
Hugh Dempster's Postcards
Hugh was a shipping enthusiast and ship model builder who lived near Ayr Harbour and collected many postcards and photos of Scottish vessels and those calling into the port. The collection was passed to me with his models by Hugh's son Steven.
Reg Watson's P&O Years Postcards
My grandfather was a steward on the P&O liner Morea just before WW1 and my grandmother kept the postcards he sent home to her. When my grandparents died, I inherited the postcards and still treasure them. I decided to catalogue them and put them online so that others can see them.
Richard Crow's British India Postcards
Richard Crow joined the British India Steam Navigation Company as a cadet in 1932 and left the company in 1948 as a Chief Officer. During his time he collected postcards and photos of the company ships.
