Eastern Prince was a 2,885 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1910 by J. Priestman & Co. for Prince Line Ltd. and managed by Furness, Withy & Co. She was sunk on 30 August 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-62 at position 49° 41' N, 04° 12' W - approximately 30 nautical miles South by West of Eddystone lighthouse. She was en route from Newport News to London with a general cargo.

From 1903 she was owned by Field Line (Cardiff) Ltd. and managed by E.Jones & Co. She was sunk on 27 November 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-57 at position 50° 14' N, 04° 42' W - approximately 7 nautical miles East-South-East of Dodman Point. She was en route from Newport to Dieppe with a cargo of coal.

Echunga was a 4,589 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1907 by Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. for The Adelaide Steamship Co. Ltd. In 1916 she had been converted into a tanker by the installation of cylindrical tanks in her hold. and managed by zzz & Co. At the time of her loss she was owned by Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Co. Ltd. She was sunk on 5 September 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-52 approximately 40 nautical miles North by East of Ushant. She was en route from Port Arthur to an unknown destination.

Edernian was a 3,588 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1906 by Craig, Taylor & Co. Ltd. for SS Demetian & Ordovician Co. Ltd. and managed by O. & W.Williams & Co. She was sunk on 20 August 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-10 at position 52° 13' N, 01° 45' E - approximately 6 nautical miles South by East of Southwold. She was en route from Middlesbrough to Dieppe with a cargo of steel. The ship had survived an earlier incident on 30 March 1917 when she was damaged by a mine laid by UC-71 but there were no casualties on that occasion.

Edward B. Cargill

Edward B. Cargill was a 182 GRT steam trawler completed in 1898 by Cook, Welton & Gemmell for Cargill Steam Trawling Co. Ltd. and registered at Hull as H412. She left Hull on 13 November for the North Sea fishing grounds and was not seen again. She was given up as lost on 8 December 1915 and is presumed to have struck a mine off Spurn Point.
