Grecian Prince

Grecian Prince was a 126 GRT compound-engined trawler completed in 1899 by J.T. Eltringham Ltd. for William Horsley Storey of South Shields and registered as SN4. She sank on 15 December 1918 after a mine caught in her trawl blew up approximately 16.5 nautical miles North by East of Kinnairds Head. Three of the ten on board survived.

Greenbank was a 3,881 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1905 by W. Doxford & Sons Ltd. for Horsley Line Ltd. From 1915 she was owned by G.B.Harland & Co. She was sunk on 3 June 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-33 at position 36° 05' N, 01° 04' W - approximately 12 nautical miles North of Cape Falcon, Algeria. She was en route from Cardiff to Alexandria with a cargo of coal.

Ltd. and renamed Greenhill. She was wrecked on Long Sand on 16 December 1917 whilst en route from Blyth to Dunkirk with a cargo of coal.

She was en route from Penarth to Portland with a cargo of coal.

Guide

Guide has been difficult to track down but I believe that she was a 48 GRT sailing ketch - a trawler - completed in 1897 in Galmpton Devon and transferred to Lowestoft and owned by Samuel Richard White of Raglan Street. She was removed from the register in 1916. Judging by the rank of those lost it is most probable that the entire crew were lost. I have been unable to discover any further information about this.
