Huntstrick was a 8,117 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1902 by Workman, Clark & Co. Ltd. for Irak Steamship Co. Ltd. From 1915 she was under the control of the British Government and managed by F.C.Strick & Co. Ltd. She was sunk on 8 June 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-39 at position 35° 52' N, 06° 47' W - approximately 80 nautical miles West-North-West of Cape Spartel. She ws en route from London to Salonica with government stores and troops.

Huntsvale was a 5,609 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1898 by Flensburger Schiffsbau Ges. for Deutsche Dampfs Ges "Hansa" as Barenfels. From 1915 she was under the control of the British Government and managed by Fisher, Alimonda & Co. She was sunk on 4 November 1916 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-43 at position 36° 04' N, 19° 03' E - approximately 200 nautical miles East of Malta. She was en route from Salonica to Algiers in ballast.

Hurstwood was a 1,209 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1906 by S. P. Austin & Son, Ltd. for W.Cory & Son Ltd. From 1916 she was owned by Cory Colliers Ltd. She was sunk on 5 February 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-34 at position 54° 35' N, 00° 35' W - approximately 6 nautical miles North-East of Whitby. She was en route from London to Newcastle in ballast.

Hurunui was a 8,901 GRT steam cargo ship (ref) completed in 1912 by Russell & Co. for New Zealand Shipping Co. Ltd. She was sunk on 18 May 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-94 at position 49° 08' N, 05° 00' W - approximately 48 nautical miles South by West of The Lizard. She was en route from Wellington to London with a general cargo.

Hyndford was a 4,286 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1905 by Wm. Hamilton & Co. Ltd. for Scottish Shipowners' Co Ltd. and managed by Robertson, Paterson & Co. She was damaged on 15 March 1915 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-35 approximately 12 nautical miles South of the Royal Sovereign light vessel. She was en route from Bahia to London with a cargo of grain. After repair she survived until being broken up in 1930.

Hyperia was a 3,921 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1895 by J. L. Thompson & Sons Ltd. for Simpson Spence as Pinners Point. From 1903 she was owned by British & South American Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. and managed by R.P.Houston & Sons. She was sunk on 28 July 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-52 at position 32° 21' N, 31° 25' E - approximately 84 nautical miles North-West by North of Port Said. She was en route from Marseille to Port Said carrying military stores and troops. Apart from the crew casualties, 57 French servicemen lost their lives in the attack.

Iberian was a 5,223 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1900 by Sir James Laing & Sons Ltd. for Frederick Leyland & Co. Ltd. She was sunk on 30 July 1915 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-28 at position 51° 15' N, 09° 36' W - approximately 9 nautical miles South by West of Fastnet. She was en route from Manchester to Boston with a general cargo.

Iceland was a 1,501 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1903 by Barclay, Curle & Co. Ltd. for Liverpool & Hamburg Steamship Co. and managed by D. Currie & Co. She was sunk on 3 July 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-88 approximately 10 nautical miles South-West of Rosscarbery Bay, Cork. She was en route from Valencia to the Clyde with fruit and a general cargo.

Ida Duncan was a 139 GRT Tug that was originally built as a fishing trawler and completed in 1891 by J. P. Rennoldson & Sons. as Sturgeon. By the time of her loss whe was owned by Charles Duncan & Sons Ltd., renamed Ida Duncan and managed by Charles William Duncan. She sank on 31 January 1917 after striking a mine laid by German submarine UC-32 at position 53° 39' N, 01° 07' E - approximately 1.5 nautical miles East of the South Gare Breakwater near Middlesbrough. She was en route from Middlesbrough to Tees Bay in ballast.

Idaho was a 3,036 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1899 by W. Gray & Co. Ltd. for J.R.Olsen as Ran. She was renamed Idaho in 1915 and at the time of her loss she was in the hands of the British Government Shipping Controller and managed by H. Samman & Co. She was sunk on 18 August 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-107 at position 44° 40' N, 10° 20' W - approximately 120 nautical miles North by West of Cape Villano, She was en route from the Clyde to an unknown destination in ballast.
