Newlyn was a 4,019 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1913 by W. Pickersgill & Sons Ltd. for Newcastle Steamship Co. Ltd. and managed by J. J. & C. M. Forster. She was sunk on 2 August 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-31 approximately 2 nautical miles South of Prawle Point. She was en route from the Tyne to Genoa with a cargo of coal and coke.
