Phare was a 1,267 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1906 by Blyth Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. for Alfred Christensen as Lady Furness. From 1915 she was owned by Gas Light & Coke Co. Ltd., renamed Phare, and managd by Stephenson Clarke & Co. She was sunk on 31 October 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-35 approximately 2.5 nautical miles North by East of Scarborough. She was en route from Tyne to London with a cargo of coal.
