She was sunk on 24 November 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-96 at position 49° 53' N, 05° 06' W - approximately 6 nautical miles South-South-East of The Lizard. She was en route from Sevilla to Manchester with a cargo of iron, copper ore and cork.
