Sir William Stephenson was a 1,540 GRT steam passenger/cargo ship completed in 1906 by Palmers’ Shipbuilding & Iron Co. Ltd. for Tyne-Tees Steam Shipping Co. Ltd. She sank on 29 August 1915 after striking a mine laid by German submarine UC-6 off Cockle Light Vessel - sinking in Yarmouth Roads. She was en route from Tyne to Londo with a general cargo.

Sjaelland was a 1,210 GRT compound-engined cargo ship completed in 1872 by Norddeutsche Schiffbau A.G. of Kiel for Asia Steamship Co. From 1917 she was owned by R. S. Dalgliesh. She was stopped by German submarine UC-66 approximately 18 nautical miles East by North of Start Point and sunk by gunfire. She was en route from Le Havre to Swansea in ballast.

She was en route from Barry to Fécamp with an Admiralty cargo.

She was en route from Philadelphia to Liverpool carrying explosives and a general cargo.
