Warsaw was a 470 (or possibly 608) GRT steam passenger/cargo ship completed in 1864 by MacNab & Co. for Leith, Hull & Hamburg Line - J. Currie & Co. She was sunk on 20 December 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UB-31 approximately 4 nautical miles South-East by East of Start Point. She was en route from St.Malo and Brixham to Liverpool.

She was sunk on 21 February 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-39 at position 37° 00' N, 04° 56' E - approximately 15 nautical miles North of Cape Carbon. She was en route from Limni to Malta with a cargo of magnesite.

Wavelet was a 2,992 GRT steam cargo ship completed in 1905 by William Gray & Co. for Needham Bros. From 1915 she was owned by Christian Salvesen & Co. She was damaged on 13 February 1915 on striking a mine approximately 11 nautical miles North-East by North of North Goodwin. She was beached, recovered and repaired but wrecked on 27 August 1916 near Bjunga Rock, Norway whilst en route from Narvik to the Tees with a cargo of iron ore.

Wayfarer

Wayfarer was a 9,599 GRT stea cargo ship completed in 1903 by Workman, Clark & Co. Ltd. for Charente Steamship Co. Ltd. She was damaged on 11 April 1915 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-32 at position 50° 80' N, 08° 00' W - approximately 60 nautical miles West-North-West of the Scilly Islands. She was en route from Avonmouth to an unknown destination with troops and equipments. At the time of the attack she was carrying 200 soldiers of the Warwickshire Yeomanry and their horses and kit. The damaged ship was towed to Queenstown for temporary repairs and then on to Liverpool for permanent repairs.

At the time of her loss she was in the hands of the British Government Shipping Controller and managed by Everett & Newbigin. She was sunk on 14 June 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine UC-71 approximately 20 nautical miles West by South of the Royal Sovereigh Light Vessel. She was en route from Hartlepool to Cowes with a cargo of coal.

Ltd. and managed by W. J. Tatem & Co. She was sunk on 16 September 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-118 at position 45° 48' N, 10° 58' W - approximately 175 nautical miles North-West of Cape Villano. She was en route from Newport to Naples with a cargo of coal. She had survived an earlier attack by UB-40 on 19 October 1917 when she was damaged by a torpedo 5 miles South-South-East of Portland Bill whilse en route from the Tyne to Genoa with a cargo of coal. There were no casualties resulting from the earlier attack.
